Becoming a scream free parent

ScreamFree founder and author of "Scream Free Parenting," Hal Runkel, signs a copy of his book for Quinnie Cook following a presentation Oct. 21 at the Post Theater on Fort McPherson. Runkel, a licensed marriage and family therapist, spoke about parenting techniques that focused on changing the dynamics in the home to help prevent parents from letting their emotions take over when dealing with their children, and instead focusing on maintaining calm and making choices based on principles rather than emotions.
