Govt. Leased Housing Inspections

ONLY FOR GOVERNMENT LEASED QUARTERS, NOT PRIVATE RENTALS

Hello from the housing inspection team! As per the FY2021 NDAA, your GOVERNMENT LEASED homes must be inspected by a third-party qualified home inspector. USAG Italy is scheduled for inspection March 16 through March 19, 2026.

Please be prepared for the inspection:

• Be ready at the start time of your scheduled appointment window.
• You or a representative above the age of 18 (family, friend, neighbor, etc.) is required to be present during the inspection.
• Secure animals for the duration of the inspection.
• An inspector will evaluate the visible and accessible systems and components of your home and determine the present condition of the home’s major systems.
• The inspector must have access to ALL spaces in your home.
• Smoke detectors and HVAC systems will be tested. This is an important life, health and safety protocol.
• Inspectors will take overview and deficiency photos of your home. They will avoid taking photos of people. If you have photos or items you do not wish to be in pictures we recommend to remove or cover them.
• This inspection does not create work orders. Follow your local processes regarding maintenance issues.

This inspection is conducted by a 3rd party inspection team in coordination with your Military Housing Office. It cannot be rescheduled. If you are not at your scheduled appointment, the inspection will be completed with an assigned Army Escort at the time of escort availability or at the inspection time.
