Monthly Fort Knox retirement ceremony set for Jan. 30

Nine Soldiers and two civilian employees will walk the stage at Waybur Theater at the January 2026 retirement ceremony Friday, Jan. 30, beginning at 3 p.m. The event will also be live streamed on Fort Knox Facebook.

The monthly Fort Knox retirement ceremony will be Friday, Jan. 30 at 3 p.m. in Waybur Theater and hosted by the commanding general of 100th Training Division, Brig. Gen. Martin Jung, and, and cohosted by the 100th Training Division senior enlisted adviser, Command Sgt. Maj. Christian Davis.

The public is invited, and the event is also scheduled to be live streamed on Fort Knox Facebook at https://www.facebook.com/events/805140238655827

The following retirees will be honored during the ceremony:

  • Col. Matthew Ziglar, U.S. Army Human Resources Command, 27 years of service
  • Lt. Col. Ryan Davis, 1st Theater Sustainment Command, 24 years of service
  • Lt. Col. Aida Echevarria, U.S. Army Recruiting Command, 31 years of service
  • Thomas Watts, U.S. Army Human Resources Command, 16 years of service
  • James Burdett, 83rd U.S. Army Reserve Readiness Training Center, 37 years of service
  • Capt. Andrew Elliott, 4th Cavalry Multi-Functional Training Brigade, 22 years of service
  • Master Sgt. William Corcoran, 7th ROTC Brigade, 20 years of service
  • Master Sgt. Jude Albert, 83rd U.S. Army Reserve Readiness Training Command, 30 years of service
  • Master Sgt. Charles Smith, U.S. Army Recruiting Division, 20 years of service
