Army Management Staff College reschedules Continuing Education for Senior Leaders class

The Army Management Staff College has rescheduled an upcoming Continuing Education for Senior Leaders class.

The class scheduled for Nov. 2-6, 2009 has been rescheduled to June 14-18, 2010. The deadline to apply for the June class is April 16. Students enrolled in the November class were informed by the AMSC Registrar Office with e-mail notifications and phone calls. The Registrar Office is also contacting the students to coordinate attendance in a future class; pending their availability.

CESL provides a participatory environment where higher-ranking leaders discuss current issues and challenges facing civilian and military leaders. Upon completion of this course, students will be able to recognize ongoing Army strategies and programs, think strategically, and lead a generationally diverse workforce. Civilians (GS-14 and 15 and equivalent) and military (Lieutenant Colonels, Colonels, Sergeants Major, Chief Warrant Officers 4 and 5) are eligible to attend.

Advanced Course graduates who meet the eligibility requirements can apply for CESL one year after graduating from the Advanced Course. In addition, graduates of CESL are welcome to reapply if itAca,!a,,cs been at least one year since graduating from the course.

The other CESL classes open for enrollment are Jan. 25-29, 2010, with an application deadline of Nov. 26, 2009; April 26-30, 2010, with an application deadline of Feb. 25, 2010; and Aug. 2-6, 2010, with an application deadline of June 3, 2010.

AMSC also conducts other centrally-funded courses for Army civilians in permanent appointments and Local Nationals.
