DUGWAY PROVING GROUND, Utah – A new mobile app is changing how the Dugway Proving Ground community stays connected. The “My Army Post Application,” or MAPA, has quickly become the go-to source for installation news and events since its launch earlier this year, drawing praise from a growing user base.

The application has grown to nearly 200 active users and successfully replaced the previous “Digital Garrison” app. It serves as a central hub for service times, community events, and official announcements for soldiers and their families.

"MAPA makes finding information easier for people because it gives users a single, reliable source of information that is straightforward to use," said Kyle Hetrick of Dugway’s Plans, Analysis, and Integration Office.

Hetrick, who oversees the application for Dugway, noted that this ease of use is driving tangible results. He said push notifications for events have led to a noticeable increase in attendance, and that users frequently take advantage of features like up-to-date service hours and the ability to bookmark resources.

The transition from the former application has been smooth, with users embracing MAPA’s simpler and more reliable interface.

Looking ahead, the app’s evolution is ongoing. The U.S. Army Installation Management Command, which manages MAPA, is continuously developing new features. Suggestions from the Dugway community have been incorporated into the development list, ensuring the application evolves to meet local needs.

MAPA is set to continue as Dugway’s primary platform for community-wide information, from daily updates to official newsletters.
