Toruń Christmas Tram Rolls Out Dec. 5 With Music, Treats and Photo Spot
On December 5th, the Toruń Municipal Transport Authority's Christmas tram will launch. During the inaugural ride, passengers will be treated to surprises. There will be sing-alongs, sweets, and, next to the outdoor piano, a Christmas-themed photo frame.
It's become a tradition in Toruń that every year, at the dawn of winter, a festive, illuminated tram takes to the streets. As usual, it will delight the eye with festive accents, but this year it will take on a completely new, truly spectacular appearance. There will be new decorations, renewed energy, and even more festive sparkle.
The inaugural ride will take place on December 5th. The Christmas swing will depart at 3:57 PM from the Motoarena loop and will travel along route no. 3 to the Heweliusza loop and back. During the first ride, passengers will be able to listen to Christmas songs performed by children from the "Dom Harcerza" After-School Work Center.
You'll be able to feel the Christmas spirit not only on the tram, but also at the stop at the transfer hub on Solidarności Avenue (on the side of the Ethnographic Museum), where another group of young artists from "Dom Harcerza" (Scout House) will brighten up the wait for the Christmas swing. Their recital will be available from approximately 3:50 to 4:20 p.m.
Both on the tram and at the stop, passengers will be greeted with sweet MZK fudge, gingerbread and warm wishes.
But that's not the end of the surprises! Just walk a few steps to experience the magic of the holidays even more and take a photo in the Christmas photo frame. It will be located on 4 Czerwca 1989 Square, near the outdoor piano.
The Christmas tram will go to the Heweliusza loop and return to the Motoarena loop, and after its inaugural run that day, it will still be available on route number 3.
Departure times from the loop on December 5:
- Departures from Motoarena: 18:19, 19:53, 21:23
- departures from Heweliusz 18:58, 20:44, 22:14
The Christmas tram will run as a regular scheduled tram on the public transport network until January 6, 2026. Also until January 6, a photo frame will be available for holiday photography enthusiasts in the square near the transfer hub on Solidarności Avenue.
The Christmas tram timetables for the coming days will be available on the website www.mzk-torun.plIt will open in a new tabin the "Christmas Line" category.
Rides on the Christmas tram are subject to payment according to the applicable transport tariff.

Polsat’s New Year’s Eve Power of Hits Returns to Toruń’s Old Town
Alicja Majewska, BIG CYC, Beata i Bajm, Edyta Górniak, Golec uOrkiestra, Lady Pank, Skolim and Smolasty - these are the first artists announced by Polsat Television, whom we will hear and see during the "New Year's Eve Power of Hits" at the Old Town Square in Toruń.
These are just some of the artists representing various musical genres who will create a unique New Year's Eve atmosphere. Toruń will once again become a place where history meets modernity, and music meets the magic of the city on the Vistula River. It will be a night full of emotion, shared fun, and pride in the fact that the entire country will welcome the New Year from here, in the heart of the Kuyavian-Pomeranian region.
After the huge success of last year's concert, which gathered an average of over 3 million viewers in front of TV sets, and at the culmination point, over 4 million 150 thousand viewers raised a New Year's toast with Polsat Television, the event will return in an even more spectacular version.
Toruń, with its unique atmosphere, will once again become the musical capital of Poland. A record number of artists will perform on the stage set up in Toruń's Old Town Square. Such a star-studded lineup has never been seen before in the history of "New Year's Eve Power of Hits." Audiences will see the hottest names on the Polish music scene, celebrating anniversaries and major comebacks. Hits from the past year, all-time classics, Latin rhythms, pop hits, and rock anthems will be performed by true giants of the stage.
"New Year's Eve Hits" is also a unique promotion for Toruń and the entire Kuyavian-Pomeranian Voivodeship. The charming Old Town Square and its surrounding streets will once again be transformed into a unique stage, combining history with modernity. The ultra-modern stage will be integrated into the historic landscape of tenement houses, dating back to the turn of the 13th and 14th centuries and designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Broadcasting on Polsat will allow Toruń to be admired not only by local residents but also by viewers from across Poland and the Polish diaspora worldwide. According to last year's data, the event's advertising revenue exceeded PLN 24 million, confirming that participating in organizing New Year's Eve with Polsat is one of the most effective ways to promote the region in the country.
In cooperation with the local government of the Kuyavian-Pomeranian Voivodeship and Polsat television, we will welcome the New Year in the heart of our city for the second time.
