Fort Knox, Kentucky – The installation will celebrate the holidays Dec. 5 at their annual Christmas tree lighting ceremony at the Post Gazebo starting at 5 p.m.

Located across from Brooks Parade Field, the event will feature holiday music, a special visit from Santa Claus and complimentary hot chocolate and cookies.

About 250 Christmas trees will also be offered free to all service members and their families immediately following the tree lighting.

About 250 Christmas trees will also be offered free to all service members and their families immediately following the ceremony, courtesy of the “Trees for Troops” program. Tree distribution will be set up adjacent to the Post Gazebo at the Waybur Theater parking lot until 8:30 p.m.

Additionally, those who attend can view the 4’ x 8’ holiday cards surrounding the parade field, courtesy of Fort Knox units, organizations and schools as well as area businesses and municipalities.

The event is free and open to the public.
