Executive Order Changes Hours at the One Stop
An Executive Order from the President of the United States declared December 24 and December 26 as federal holidays. The One Stop Identification Card and Common Access Card sections will have compressed hours. The One Stop will be closed on December 24 and 26 and the Department of Motor Vehicles inside the One Stop will also have a limited schedule. The DMV State Examiner will not operate on December 22 and they will be closed completely the same days as the I.D. card offices. An Executive Order from the President of the United States declared December 24 and December 26 as federal holidays. The gates on Redstone Arsenal will operate on the federal holiday schedule. Only gates 8 at the intersection of Drake Avenue and Patton Road and gate 9 on Rideout Road are open on federal holidays. There is a helpful graphic on the Team Redstone social media accounts. Noise Alert for Tues., Dec. 16
Two test ranges in the southwest section of Redstone Arsenal will conduct multiple tests today, Tuesday, December 16 from 10:30 a.m. through 4:30 p.m. Expect an increase in noise.
Noise Alert for Fri., Dec. 12
A test range in the southwest section of Redstone Arsenal will conduct multiple tests today, Friday, December 12 from 9:30 a.m. through 4:30 p.m. Expect an increase in noise.
Gate 3 on Redstone Road Reopens for Outbound Traffic
Starting Dec. 15, Redstone Arsenal will expand Gate 3 hours to enable outbound traffic in the afternoon and evening.
Gate 3 on Redstone Road will be open Monday through Friday from 5:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. for both inbound and outbound traffic, and then from 1:30-9 p.m. for outbound only.
As a result of this change, Gate 3 will operate like Gates 1 and 7.
Redstone leaders are happy to announce the expansion of Gate 3 due to efforts obtaining an exception to policy to hire more guards.

The tests scheduled for this evening have been cancelled. There will not be any testing this evening.
The sound you will hear this evening, Monday December 8, is the sound of rocket engine hot fire testing.
Regular Testing Resumes on Post Today
Some people missed the "sound of freedom," as many people call the various booms and rumbles on Redstone Arsenal. Today, Monday, November 17 the rumbles from testing are back on a regular schedule. The rumble you will hear this evening is the sound of rocket engine hot fire testing.
