Tulsa District awards construction contract to Lawton company

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers awarded a construction contract to Sheffield Construction, Limited Liability Company of Lawton, Okla., Sept. 25.

The $10.5 million contract provides for plumbing, heating, ventilation and air condition repairs to the 2700 series of buildings at Fort Sill, Okla.

Fort Sill is one of the U.S. Army’s basic military training installations, and is home to the Fires Center of Excellence, which provides artillery training to the U.S. Army and U.S. Marine Corps.

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Tulsa District is the primary provider of military construction related design, engineering, project management, construction and contracting support for six U.S. Army and U.S. Air Force installations in Oklahoma and Texas.
