FORT KNOX, Ky. — The Army & Air Force Exchange Service’s senior enlisted advisor visited Fort Knox recently to ensure Soldiers have what they need for readiness, resiliency and lethality.
Air Force Chief Master Sgt. Rich Martinez met with Fort Knox Garrison Command Sgt. Maj. Alex Licea to gather feedback on how to strengthen hard-earned Exchange benefits for the Fort Knox community.
“As one of the Army’s most multifunctional posts, it is vital for the Exchange to constantly explore new ways to enhance the experience for the Fort Knox community,” Martinez said. “With more than 22,000 personnel on the installation and serving more than 48,000 retirees and family members, the Exchange is all-in to make sure we can provide the goods and services that make their important work easier.”
The Fort Knox Exchange includes tax-free shopping at the main store, multiple Express convenience stores, dining options like Qdoba, Popeyes, Starbucks, Taco Bell and Jimmy John’s, services that include a barber shop, dry cleaners, optical shop, storage center and more.
Multiple self-service 24/7 stores across post add round-the-clock convenience for those working away from main PX facilities or at odd hours. Everyone with post access, including civilian visitors, can dine at Exchange restaurants, Express quick-serve restaurants and self-service 24/7 stores.
Recent additions to the Exchange include a Sbarro at the main food court, which celebrated its grand opening this month, along with the addition of Boba Plus to the mini mall in June and a floral store to the main Exchange in May.
With 100% of Exchange earnings going back to the military community, officials said shopping the Fort Knox PX directly benefits the installation. In 2024, Fort Knox shoppers generated more than $1.7 million in dividends which go toward critical Quality-of-Life programs and improvements to the shopping experience.
“Every Army community’s needs are unique” Martinez said, “and the Exchange is committed to bringing the best to everyone who calls Fort Knox home.”
