A new app compiling available services, programs and unit in-processing information in one convenient location now includes U. S. Army Garrison Daegu.

“The MyArmyPost App, or MAPA, is a user-focused tool designed to assist Soldiers, Army families, and garrison teams in better managing their installation activities,” explained Ta’Corian Tilley, U.S. Army Installation Management Command public affairs.

MAPA is available on all Android and Apple devices through their respective online stores and makes Army life easier with centralized access to on-post resources and information.

The app, developed by the Army Futures Command Army Software Factory, replaces the Digital Garrison app, and improves upon it by allowing users to customize their experience and provide direct feedback to the garrison, and incorporates links to the Army Maintenance site for work orders, MHS Genesis for medical needs and the DEERS ID site.

Facility hours and locations, bus schedules, local weather and air quality information, and events can all be found through the app, and a bookmark feature keeps the info you need the most on the homepage.

With phone numbers for garrison offices, FMWR and AAFES facilities, and integration with Waze for directions, getting around post and making sure everything is open when you get there is a breeze.

USAG Daegu can also send users notifications about weather events, emergency facility and gate closures and other time sensitive info, supplementing the garrison website, social media outlets and Alert! notification system.

A dedicated Newcomers section provides Soldiers and family members new to Area IV with links on to the USAG Daegu website, and an inprocessing checklist for anyone preparing to move to Korea.

USAG Humphreys and 55 other garrisons are already on MAPA, and anyone traveling between the garrisons can switch between them to get information and directions for their trip. The Army plans for all 104 garrisons to be on the app in the coming year, providing info as Soldiers, Civilians and their families move throughout their career.

Install the My Army Post App on your phones today to stay up-to-date on activities in Area IV and across the peninsula!
