Team CECOM,
The Spring 2025 edition of Army's AL&T Magazine highlights the power of Army acquisition as a global effort and features two of CECOM's current transformation efforts. "Cybersecurity First" details how an SEC cybersecurity expert and her team led their Zero Trust policy and procedure development initiative to stay ahead of ever-evolving cyber threats. "All Roads Lead to Sustainment" showcases how AMLC enhances warfighter readiness by integrating medical sustainment planning. I know you keep hearing about transformation, and these are two great examples of our teammates leading change for our Army by identifying large-scale issues and developing critical solutions.
This past Monday, CECOM's Central Technical Support Facility (CTSF) officially cased their colors in a ceremony at FT Cavazos, symbolizing its final deactivation. Throughout its nearly 30 years of dedicated, selfless service to ensuring interoperability with seamless communication and data-sharing processes in our Army, CTSF has had truly amazing people serve in its ranks. Please join me in appreciation for their collective service to our warfighters, this command, and our nation. For more information, see this article by our outgoing CTSF director, LTC Edgar Lopez, reflecting on the incredible legacy of CTSF.
As you may remember, Dr. Allison Marier, CECOM's first chief data analytics officer, joined us about five months ago and has spent time getting to know and understand our organization. Part of Dr. Marier's role is transforming CECOM's data and processes into intuitive products that enable data-driven decisions. CECOM's shift toward becoming a more data-centric organization enhances Army operational efficiency through supply chain optimization and resource management. For more about Dr. Marier's efforts supporting our digital transformation initiatives, tune into the upcoming CECOM Town Hall on 13 MAY at 1300 in APG's Myer Auditorium and virtually.
Today, 1 MAY, CECOM celebrates its 44th birthday! For more than four decades, CECOM has provided countless opportunities to Soldiers and Army Civilians from all backgrounds and experiences. This organization has strived to achieve excellence in our mission: delivering integrated C5ISR weapon systems, business systems, and medical logistics support precisely at the point of need for our warfighters and allies worldwide. While CECOM itself may only be 44 years old, it's important for this command to appreciate the momentous contributions of the Army's Signal Corps and all the units that laid the path for CECOM to become what we are today: a world-class team of experts providing combat power for the joint force!
For the next 44 years and beyond, I am confident this collective team will continue to work to preserve our proud CECOM and Signal Corps heritage and values as we transform into a modernized force capable of fighting and winning America's wars. I sincerely thank our tremendously talented CECOM team for your continued dedication to this command and our nation's warfighters. Your contributions are valued no matter where you are in the CECOM global footprint. Happy Birthday Team CECOM!
To all our teammates worldwide, thank you for your continued support, dedication, and commitment to this command and our Army. Your work and our mission truly matter.
This We'll Defend!
