Baby shower bash: ACS gears up soon-to-be parents for parenthood

WHITE SANDS MISSILE RANGE, N.M. (April 29, 2025) - In the heart of White Sands Missile Range, New Mexico, excitement filled the air as growing families gathered for a special celebration. On April 25, the Army Community Service’s New Parent Support Program organized a baby shower for those expecting or recently welcoming little ones.

The parents-to-be filled the fireplace room and learned about the various topics and resources ACS provides expectant and new parents. The WSMR team had a charming photo backdrop adorned with cheerful decorations, inviting everyone to take memorable pictures to share with loved ones. The setting was perfect for networking and support, with a sense of camaraderie among those embarking on the incredible journey of parenthood.

The Women, Infants, and Children program, also known as WIC, had representatives attend, sharing information with families on how to enroll in their programs for new parents, ensuring that everyone has access to the resources they need for the well-being of their little ones. The ACS team was on hand, distributing duffle bag starter kits filled with essentials, ensuring each family left with more than just memories of the day.
