Several White Sands Missile Range individuals were recognized for their hard work during the April 10 Garrison Town Hall meeting held at the Post Theater.

A group of individuals was recognized for Length of Service, including Mike Williams, who was recognized for 40 years of service. Williams is the Chief of the Master Planning Division at WSMR.

Several individuals also received certificates of achievement, and another group received recognition and awards for participating in the Shark Tank event. First place went to Mike Williams for his idea of a Small Modular Reactor.

Garrison Commander Col. Don Mozer also presented Robert Getkin and Victoria Sanchez from the Garrison Safety Office with Commander’s Coins for their work during the Bataan Memorial Death March.

Mozer thanked everyone who worked and volunteered during the Bataan Memorial Death March. “The whole team put together a spectacular event. It was a great event.”

He then went on to say that Garrison will be starting Leader Professional Development. He asked everyone to think about some of the training they may want. He said employees can contact Ed Stahl for input.

“Make sure to talk to your supervisor if this is something you want to participate in,” Mozer said.

Garrison Command Sgt. Maj. Jamal Latore thanked the team for all they do for WSMR and the Garrison.

“No one says thank you to you often, but we will continue to thank you for all you do.”
