Fort Knox AAFES expands ‘Lock and Leave’ storage: new units now available for rent

FORT KNOX, Ky. — The Fort Knox Army and Air Force Exchange Service Lock and Leave Storage Center recently received an expansion, providing an additional 40 units to the existing storage service.

These new units are located on Gold Vault Road across from the Fort Knox Directorate of Family Morale, Welfare and Recreation recreational vehicle and boat storage area. With the addition to the pre-existing units, located at building 1611 next to the U.S. Army Recruiting Outreach Company Headquarters on Wilson Road, the installation now has 150 total Lock and Leave Storage Center units available for use.

Units available by size and price:

  • 8x10x8 unit - $92 a month
  • 5x8x8 unit - $45 a month
  • 5x4x8 unit - $30 a month

Those wishing to rent one of the new units can simply approach a unit and call the number located on the back of the price tag labeled “Rent Me” to begin the process.
