FORT GEORGE G. MEADE, Md. – The annual Army Housing Tenant Satisfaction Survey was distributed via email to post housing residents during the first week of March. The survey, which runs through May 1, provides service members with an opportunity to offer feedback on their housing experiences.

The Army uses the responses to enhance the quality, safety, and security of housing facilities.

While the survey is conducted Army-wide, its impact is significant at the local level. Fort Meade’s Chief of Army Housing, Aimee Stafford, emphasized the importance of tenant input in shaping community improvements.

“The annual tenant satisfaction survey is important nationally, but it's also important locally,” Stafford said. “Locally, it's important because we take that feedback and turn it into an action plan. Road work, sidewalk repairs, and upcoming renovations are all driven by the feedback we receive. Last year, we developed a road and sidewalk plan, and tenant responses helped us prioritize specific projects within a limited budget.”

Residents who have not received the survey email are encouraged to contact their neighborhood center.

“The surveys are emailed to the primary account on file with the neighborhood center,” Stafford explained. “Only one survey is sent per household, so if you haven’t received it, reach out to your neighborhood office to ensure the link is resent to the correct email.”

With the May 1 deadline approaching, Stafford urged residents to complete the survey as soon as possible.

“If you can’t get to it this week, you still have time,” Stafford said. “The more feedback we receive, the more accurate our understanding of tenant concerns will be. This survey is critical since we conduct fewer surveys than before.”

Residents’ participation in the survey plays a key role in shaping the future of Army housing and ensuring that community needs are met effectively.
