ANSBACH, Germany — As of February 3, 2025, the Military Postal Service Agency has completed the conversion to a new address format in the United States Postal Service (USPS) address matching software.
From now on, ensure your address is labeled as PSC and not CMR.
Changes should be made before September 2026.
CMR is no longer used but mail will still arrive. However, it is recommend that you update your outgoing mail to use the new PSC address format as soon as possible.
To avoid any potential disruptions, please update your records with the following entities:
- Banking institutions
- Credit card companies
- Loan providers
- Online retailers
- Magazine and newspaper subscriptions
- Any other vendors or services that send mail to your military address
APO addresses are considered to be domestic addresses within the U.S. postal system and postal rates are the same as sending items within the United States.
