PICATINNY ARSENAL, N.J. -- Maj. Gen. John T. Reim, Picatinny Arsenal Commanding General and Joint Program Executive Officer Armaments and Ammunition, promoted Capt. Sean C. Boyle to the rank of major during a ceremony at CPT Sean P. Grimes Hall, Feb. 28.

Boyle, the Commanding Officer, North Jersey Recruiting Company, was joined by his wife, Devon, parents, Barbara and Gerard, and peers, just months after the unit posted strong recruiting numbers last year and is on a trajectory to achieve a record recruiting total this year.

Under Boyle’s command, the North Jersey Recruiting Company oversees eight U.S. Army Recruiting Stations throughout eight counties, which include 137 high schools, 14 colleges, and 12 Junior Reserve Officers' Training Corps (JROTC) units.

In fiscal year 2024, the command enlisted 417 applicants, the most since 2011.

“This year, we are on pace to enlist approximately 500 applicants, which would be the most our company has ever enlisted,” Boyle said.
