DUGWAY PROVING GROUND, Utah - New and emerging technologies continue to break ground on the test range at Dugway Proving Ground.

General Atomics Electromagnetic Systems (GA-EMS) used its Compressed Air Test System (CATS) to test its Long-Range Maneuvering Projectile (LRMP) at Dugway. CATS enables rapid and cost-effective testing of a subset of the functionality of LRMP. The LRMP can strike static and moving targets and it can be integrated with existing artillery systems. The Long-Range Maneuvering Projectile (LRMP) is a precision artillery round with wings that the company claims could hit targets 120 kilometers away in GPS-denied environments.
