Probably no artist in history has become a symbol of an era and at the same time a time caesura like Raffaello Santi. He was the embodiment of the ideals of the Renaissance, a humanist artist, mentioned in the same breath as Michelangelo and Donatello. Raphael's work became so important that all artists of subsequent generations had to refer to it. Premiere of the film "Flisak" directed by Ryszard Kruk and a meeting with the creators. The hero of the film is Marcin Karasiński - a Toruń photographer and historian, one of the initiators of the Vistula Festival, a great lover of this river. Based on a drawing on a polychrome in one of the churches, he reconstructed a traditional nasuta boat and organizes cruises for residents and tourists, talking about the beauty of the Vistula. ANKH is a legendary rock band from Kielce, existing since 1991. An important feature of the band's sound is the violin. The winner of the Rytmy Młodych Jarocin Festival, The Poks, will be the guest. SATURDAY, FEBRUARY 8
7:20 a.m., Family hikes with PTTK, meeting: at the bus station on Dąbrowskiego Street
The hike begins with a bus to Wierzchosławice (direction Inowrocław) at 7:30 a.m. The route will lead from Wierzchosławice, through Wierzbiczany, Gąski, Parchanie, Czajkowo, Piekło to Szadłowice. The aim of the expedition will be, among others, visiting the former manor house of General Sikorski. The entire walk will be about 17 km long. The expedition will be led by PTTK hiking leader Hanna Czech. Participation is free, no registration required.
9:30 a.m., 34th Polish Masters Indoor Athletics Championships and 8th Polish Indoor Medical Championships, Arena Toruń, Bema Street
540 people have registered for the competition. Each of them will compete in an average of 2 events, which translates to approx. 1,100 starts. Among the athletes are multiple medalists of the Polish, European and world championships, who will compete in events such as: 60 m, 200 m, 400 m, 800 m, 3,000 m, 3,000 m walk, 60 hurdles, long jump, triple jump, high jump, pole vault, shot put, weight throw. An intimate play directed by Paweł Paszta about women who, by changing their immediate surroundings, made the world around us a better place. They selflessly engaged in the life of the local community, built or repaired relationships between residents. Among them is an Olympic champion, a healer... There are also many other women who are remembered only by a few residents of villages and towns in the region. The play brings back the memory of these women and their achievements. Script based on field interviews in several towns in the Kuyavian-Pomeranian Voivodeship. Cast: Marta Parfieniuk-Białowicz and Grażyna Rutkowska-Kusa. Tickets: PLN 20, PLN 15 concession.

Potańc is a dance party based on ingredients tested over the centuries, connecting generations, building contacts and access to people, but above all providing unconventional musical and dance entertainment. Marcin Lorenc will play for dancing and listening, alternating with a company of violinists who come that day to the Old Town in Toruń. The predominant repertoire will be kujawiaks flowing from Łęczyca and Łowicz, energetic obereks and even polkas. Admission: regular PLN 25, pupils and students PLN 20 (ID).

The dance floor will be heated up by a real city party in the pre-war style. That evening, the greatest hits from the pre-war era will resound – waltzes, foxtrots, tangos and cheerful ditties that will liven up the atmosphere. BAiKA is an abbreviation of Banach and Kafi. The duo was formed in 2015 based on the experience of guitarist and producer Piotr Banach, founder and leader of the bands Hey and Indios Bravos, and the freshness and liveliness of vocalist Katarzyna “Kafi” Figaj – the actress who played the main role in the musical spectacle “Coś z Nietzschego”, artistic vocalist of the group Monogamik and twice nominated by Antyradio for the title of female rock vocalist. Masters will fight for medals in Torun
On February 8, 2025, the 34th Polish Masters Athletics Indoor Championships combined with the 8th Polish Medical Indoor Championships will be held at the Arena Toruń.
540 people have signed up for the competition at the Arena Toruń on Bema Street. Each of them will compete in an average of 2 events, which translates into about 1,100 starts. Among the athletes are multiple medalists of the Polish, European and world championships, who will compete in such events as: 60 m, 200 m, 400 m, 800 m, 3,000 m, 3,000 m walk, 60 hurdles, long jump, triple jump, high jump, pole vault, shot put, weight throw.
The grand opening of the competition is scheduled for 9:30 a.m. Admission is free.
The organizer of the 34th Polish Indoor Masters Athletics Championships and the 8th Polish Indoor Physicians' Championships is the Polish Masters Athletics Association, and the event was co-financed from the funds of the Municipality of Toruń. The Honorary Patronage of the event was assumed by the Mayor of Toruń, Paweł Gulewski.
It is worth recalling that Toruń has hosted international track and field competitions with the participation of masters athletes several times: the European Championships in 2015 and 2024 and the World Championships in 2019 and 2023. In March 2026, the Arena Toruń will once again host the European Masters Athletics Indoor Championships.
