Picatinny Arsenal, NJ - In a significant move to support the well-being of National Guard and Reserve members, their families, and communities, the Army Contracting Command-New Jersey center recently awarded a major contract worth approximately $9.8 million. The Indefinite Delivery, Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract, which includes a negotiated savings of $700,000, will provide stability and streamline the process of executing Yellow Ribbon Events across seven locations over the next three years.

The Yellow Ribbon Program, a Congressionally mandated initiative, aims to provide critical support to those affected by deployment, connecting them to vital resources, services, and support networks. This long-term contract vehicle is a testament to the collaborative efforts of ACC-NJ, the 99th Readiness Division (RD), and HQ USARC, who worked tirelessly to ensure the program's success.

A key factor in securing this contract was the proactive planning and industry engagement facilitated by ACC-NJ. By hosting an industry day in conjunction with the 99th RD and HQ USARC, the team was able to socialize the requirement and encourage industry participation, even in the challenging post-COVID market conditions.

The contract's execution will be led by contracting officer Eddie Sherwood and contract specialist John Keelan, who played instrumental roles in securing this significant award. This contract not only demonstrates the commitment to supporting our nation's heroes but also highlights the importance of collaborative planning and industry engagement in achieving success.

With this contract in place, the Yellow Ribbon Program is poised to make a meaningful impact on the lives of National Guard and Reserve members, their families, and communities, providing them with the support and resources they need to thrive during all phases of the deployment cycle.
