Fort Detrick lights it up to kick off holiday season

FORT DETRICK, Md. -- The Fort Detrick team officially kicked off the holidays with its annual holiday tree lighting event, Dec. 6, which included a children’s choir singing carols, plenty of hot chocolate, and even a visit from Santa and Mrs. Clause.

The 302nd Signal Battalion won this year’s lawn card competition among some tough competition.
