Fort Knox, Ky. - Fort Knox leaders served Soldiers, veterans, civilian employees and their families during the annual Fort Knox Thanksgiving meal at the Cantigny Dining Facility on post on Nov. 27, 2024. Dining facility officials said they anticipated more than 750 diners to attend. They prepared by cooking about 1,300 pounds total of turkey, ribeye, ham and shrimp in addition to all the typical Thanksgiving sides and desserts. More than 300 combined labor hours went into preparing for the feast. Leadership from all installation’s major units and organizations were in attendance to serve attendees as a way to say thank you to those who have served their organizations’ missions throughout the year. Several Fort Knox Gold Neighbors also volunteered to serve food at the event. Gold Neighbors are select individuals of the greater Fort Knox region who have distinguished themselves through their support to Fort Knox and its Soldiers and Families.
