Team CECOM,

This week, our teammates in AMLC hosted an enriching and informative discussion during their commander's forum. CECOM's medical sustainment experts discussed the Army's continuous transformation efforts and how our entire command fits into tomorrow's Army. I cannot overstate the tremendous efforts AMLC has taken to ensure we, as a command, are at the forefront of modernization, specifically with Medical Logistics in Campaigning (MiC). Our team was lucky enough to recently witness firsthand the real-world importance of the MiC mission, as our visit to Europe was highlighted by the overall scale of the USAMMC-E mission as well as their impressive use of power dashboards for data-driven decisions.

Our CECOM SEC recently provided expertise to deployed units in direct support of Operation Spartan Shield (OSS) and Operation Inherent Resolve (OIR). Our SEC Software Readiness Officers are currently working with OSS and OIR units to improve their software update compliance for Enduring Equipment Set (E2S) devices, which provide critical network encryption security. Our SEC teammates continue to support deployed units to ensure that allied commanders have the most accurate picture of unit readiness.

Team, the 2024 Defense Organizational Climate Survey, or DEOCS, is still available to take for our CECOM Soldiers and DA Civilians until 30 NOV. Thank you to all who have already completed the survey and to those who have yet to complete it – please make it a priority. DEOCS participation provides our commanders crucial insight into your working environments and directly contributes to building a stronger, more ready CECOM. If we are missing the data, commanders may not focus on the areas they should. If you have questions about DEOCS participation, please contact our command Equal Opportunity Advisor, SFC Joe Primeau, at joe.a.primeau.mil@army.mil.

I hope you were able to take the time to celebrate Veterans Day. In addition to speaking at a local American Legion event, CSM Conaty and I visited with some of our veterans at the Perry Point VA center. It was quite humbling to meet with a WWII veteran who will be turning 100 years old in JAN.

To all our teammates, thank you for everything you do. Your continued dedication to the Army's mission, our warfighters, and our Nation is greatly appreciated.

This We'll Defend!
