“This visit has been great. I had the opportunity to meet with the Command group to discuss priorities for their Commissary including considering our civilian partners and expanding operating hours for more opportunities to shop. Given that this is a food desert we are trying to find ways to provide more food security. I am looking forward to following back up with the WSMR Command group so that we can support the mission of this installation,” said Rivers.

At the completion of the tour Rivers awarded three Commander’s Coins to Meat Cutter Ysmael Gomez Jr., Meat Supervisor Danny Pina, and Store Associate Michael Coraretti.
