FORT KNOX, Ky. — Due to the growing demand among military-affiliated personnel for recreational vehicle extended-stay options, the Fort Knox Directorate of Family and Morale, Welfare and Recreation Recreational set out to fill that void with the Recreational Vehicle Extended-Stay Lot that is set to open Oct. 15.

The extended-stay lot is located on the installation, across from the Commissary and main Exchange, to provide the most convenient location to patrons.

The lot will have 24 spaces available to rent at $800 per month - each including water, electric and sewage hookup locations.

Where the Fort Knox MWR Camp Carlson RV lot has a three-month maximum stay, the new extended-stay lot will have a three-month minimum stay requirement.

For those desiring a longer stay than three months, rentals will function on a month-to-month basis.

To be eligible for a lot, the primary resident must be military affiliated - active-duty, retired, military dependent, or DoD civilian.

Pets will be allowed on the premises as long as the pet owner conforms to the Fort Knox pet policy.

Those wishing to obtain an extended stay lot can call 502-434-9684.
