The Garrison’s length of service awards presented last week represented a combined 100 years of government service.
The fourth quarter fiscal 2024 awards ceremony for the Garrison was held Sept. 25 in Bob Jones Auditorium, followed by an All-Hands meeting.
“Thank you again for everything you guys do,” Garrison Commander Col. Erin Eike said.
The Directorate of Human Resources presented the awards ceremony which included Army civilian service pins, length of service awards and other honorary recognition.
“We have amazing people who go above and beyond every day to provide installation services and keep us safe,” Renee Young, Garrison executive officer, said. “And to the commander’s point, they don’t always do that under the best circumstances. So, it’s not only important that we take time to recognize them but also let their peers know.”
Stormy Ripley, airfield and Garrison aviation safety program manager, said she liked combining the awards ceremony with the All-Hands meeting.
“I think this was excellent combining the two because you make good use of the time and you can get more people when you combine it,” Ripley said.
