As the brigade’s S4, Sheffler managed a wide range of responsibilities and her role has been critical to the success of this brigade, according to Deputy Commander John Hanson.
“While we focus on terminal operations and moving combat power, it's important to remember that every department—whether it's IT, facilities, or human resources—plays an integral part in making that happen,” Hanson said.
“Moving combat power through the East Coast and Gulf Coast wouldn't be possible without the entire team behind it,” Hanson added.
Col. Natasha Stanley said that despite the small size of her team, their impact was substantial.
Over her seven-year tenure, Sheffler managed various government budgets, oversaw the government purchase card program for the entire brigade and provided crucial oversight for service contracts. Additionally, she served as the Financial Liability Investigation of Property Loss (FLIPL) officer, ensuring accountability for equipment and property.
During her remarks, Sheffler thanked God, Col. Stanley and Mr. Hanson for the opportunity to do what she truly enjoys.
“We had a rockstar team and this isn’t a job, this is a family, and I will miss this family as I head out the door, but I wish everyone the best of luck.” Sheffler said.
A certificate of appreciation was also presented to Mr. Lawrence Clemens for his support that helped make his wife’s contributions to the Nation possible.
