FORT KNOX, Ky. — In conjunction with their annual volunteer day, 10 volunteers from the Louisville Gas and Electric (LG&E) took time to paint the M60A1main battle tank, located just outside the town of West Point, Kentucky, on Highway 31W.
Though the painting was done by LG&E, the paint and supplies were provided by Give270.org.
“This is a day our employees look forward to every year. It’s our single largest annual day of giving,” said Liz Pratt, Director of external and internal communications for LG&E and Kentucky Utilities Company. “These are all individuals who live and work in the community, and this is our way to give back. Today we get to help contribute to the historic preservation and beautification of this historic Patton Battle Tank.”
