WASHINGTON – Led by the Assistant Secretary of the Army for Acquisition, Logistics and Technology, the U.S. Army Small Business Innovation Research Program has just unveiled five new funding opportunities for September 2024, targeting novel technology areas like advanced materials, artificial intelligence and autonomy.

The Army SBIR Program offers Phase I funding opportunities to small and nontraditional vendors with solutions demonstrating commercial viability, feasibility and technical merit. Phase II and Direct to Phase II contracts are available to firms with mature technologies that meet Phase I requirements. The Army SBIR Program releases funding opportunities on a rolling basis to address current and anticipated Soldier needs.

Throughout the contracting period, firms gain access to technical, acquisition and operational Army experts. These specialists provide insights into the Army’s critical needs and guide vendors through the Army science and technology ecosystem. Contractors benefit from working with technical points of contact who help mature their solutions for integration into Army acquisition programs.
