On July 26, riders from various installations came together for a remarkable day filled with camaraderie, learning, and remembrance during the Motorcycle Mentorship Safety Ride. The event, which started at Natick Soldier Systems Center, proved to be a resounding success, leaving participants with unforgettable memories and valuable lessons.

The day kicked off with riders gathering at the Natick Soldier Systems Center, where they embarked on a journey that would not only test their skills but also enhance their knowledge of motorcycle safety. The convoy then made its way to Hanscom Air Force Base, where participants engaged in essential safety classes, equipping them with the tools to navigate the roads with confidence and caution.

After absorbing crucial safety information, the riders set out on a longer journey, putting their newfound knowledge to the test. The scenic route provided the perfect backdrop for riders to hone their skills and practice safe riding techniques under the watchful eye of experienced mentors.

The culmination of the ride led participants to The Wall That Heals exhibit at Fort Devens, a poignant moment of reflection and remembrance. Paying respects to those who have made the ultimate sacrifice, riders took a moment to honor the fallen and appreciate the freedoms they enjoy.

The success of the Motorcycle Mentorship Safety Ride would not have been possible without the dedication and enthusiasm of all those who participated. Their commitment to safety, camaraderie, and learning made the event truly special and impactful.

As we look back on this incredible experience, we extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone involved in making the ride a success. Your passion for safe riding and your eagerness to learn and grow are truly commendable.

“To all riders, we urge you to continue practicing safe riding habits, stay vigilant on the roads, and always prioritize your safety and that of others,” said Lou Calcagni, Director of Safety at Natick Soldier Systems Center. “Let this ride be a reminder of the importance of constant learning and improvement in the realm of motorcycle safety.”

Thank you once again to all participants for making the Motorcycle Mentorship Safety Ride a day to remember. Ride safe, stay vigilant, and keep the spirit of camaraderie alive on the open road.
