Two U.S. Army Security Assistance Command’s (USASAC) Security Assistance Training Management Organization (SATMO) Soldiers competed in the Army Materiel Command Best Warrior competition July 27 to July 30, 2024, at Fort Novosel, Alabama.
Sgt. 1st Class Angel Alemanmondragon, a foreign affairs counter threat instructor and military advisor, and Sgt. 1st Class Kane Victory, a senior signal operations NCO, were among 20 Soldiers from across the globe that were tested on their physical and mental strength through an obstacle course, weapons qualifications, a 12-mile ruck march and other challenges. The winners will go on to represent AMC as they compete later this year in the U.S. Army Best Warrior and Best Squad competitions.
Both Soldiers earned their spots in the AMC event by competing in USASAC's NCO of the Year competition earlier this month at Fort Liberty, North Carolina. Alemanmondragon won USASAC's NCO of the Year title.
