FORT KNOX, Ky. — Concert goers from the greater Fort Knox community joined together at Brooks Parade Field to watch as Gary Sinise and the Lt. Dan Band served high-energy, high emotions and a sense of appreciation for the sacrifices made by service members and their Families on Saturday, July 27.

“Tonight is our 570th concert since we started playing for the troops in 2003,” said Sinise. “I could see after the first visits that it was impactful, they’re [the troops] smiling and they’re happy and feeling better - that made me want to do it again, and then I did it again.”

In addition to various classic rock, country and modern pop hits, the band shared renditions of classic Disney songs such as, “Let it Go” from Frozen and “We Don’t Talk About Bruno” from Encanto, truly catering to all tastes.

“The heartbeat of the Gary Sinise Foundation is mental wellness. We just want people to feel good, want them to feel appreciated and remembered,” said Gary Sinise.

The concert also took a solemn pause as Sinise dedicated the song Resurrection and Revival, a song written by his late son Mac Sinise. The concert ended with a heartfelt thank you from Sinise to the troops, as the crowd joined in singing “God Bless the U.S.A”.
