Natick Soldier Systems Center to conduct Change of Command

Natick, Mass. – Soldier Systems Center will conduct its change of command ceremony at 10 a.m., July 31 at Natick Soldier Systems Center, Natick, Massachusetts.

Incoming commanding general Brig. Gen. George C. Hackler comes here from the U. S. Army Operational Test Command, West Fort Cavazos, Texas, where he served as commanding general.

Outgoing commanding general Brig. Gen. David C. Trybula has served with Natick Soldier Systems Center since June 2021, when he took over as Deputy Commanding General U.S. Army Combat Capabilities, Development Command (DEVCOM) and Senior Command of Natick Soldier Systems Center. He oversaw the unit’s organic prototype integration facilities.

U.S. Army Combat Capabilities Commanding General Brig. Gen. John M. Cushing will serve as host and guest speaker during the ceremony.

The Natick Soldier Systems Center mission is “One Team advancing innovative technology for Today and Tomorrow.” As the only active-duty Army Installation in New England, the NSSC’s focus is to enhance, empower, and enable the Joint Warfighter from all branches of the DoD as well as the Coast Guard. NSSC is home to a number of premiere and unique facilities that support the research, development, and engineering to sustain current Warfighter systems and develop future systems. Known as the Army’s center for Soldier-related research and development, NSSC’s greatest asset and top priority is our people – expert military and civilian personnel that come from all six New England states, many of whom hold graduate or higher-level degrees in more than 70 disciplines.

Media members should RSVP no later than Tuesday, July 30. Media who wish to cover this event should meet up with U.S. Army Garrison – Natick Public Affairs Office personnel no later than 8:30 a.m., Wednesday, July 31, at the Natick Soldier Systems Center main gate.
