Redstone’s first installation-wide retirement ceremony achieved its goal of giving retiring service members and Army civilians more than a pat on the back as they finished their careers.
Preparations are underway for the second quarterly retirement ceremony Sept. 27 from 1:30-3:30 p.m. at Bob Jones Auditorium, building 5304 in the Sparkman complex on Martin Road. Military and government civilians retiring from May through September of this year are invited to sign up as the honorees.
“We want to recognize all military and government civilians from all the tenant unit organizations who contributed to our warfighters and the overall success of their organization’s mission,” Bryan Copeland, the community readiness and resiliency integrator in Garrison’s Directorate of Human Resources, said.
The Directorate of Human Resources, led by Linda Moseley, is coordinating the ceremony which is an initiative of the Redstone senior commander. Copeland is the point of contact for this event which was first held April 25.
Interested retiring service members and government civilians should contact Copeland at bryan.a.copeland.civ@army.mil, 256-842-6891 or cell 412-228-2698.
