Natick, MA – Natick Soldier Systems Center (NSSC) is proud to announce its first Community Open House in nearly a decade, open to the public on June 15, 2024, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at 10 General Greene Ave., Natick, MA 01760. A Flag Day ceremony will be held at 11 a.m. to commemorate the Army's birthday. The event will feature a variety of exciting activities and highlights for all ages:
•Innovative Military Technology: Explore NSSC's advancements in combat rations, body armor, parachuting technology, and specialized military garments. Interact with experts to gain insight into how these innovations enhance soldier safety and effectiveness across different environments.
•Engaging Presentations & Appearances:
•Presentations by the Wounded Warrior Project and 3-5-0 Girls for Women in Uniform.
•Appearances by former New England Patriots players and Pat Patriot, the team mascot.
•An innovative outreach effort by the Boston Veterans Center with their mobile RV.
•Entertainment & Activities:
•Diverse culinary options from local food trucks.
•Interactive Science and Technology displays.
•Historical reenactors from the Revolutionary War and WWII.
•Fun inflatable activities provided by the New England Army Recruiting Battalion and Massachusetts Army National Guard Recruiting.
Come learn about the Army's only active-duty installation in New England supporting the Joint Force and celebrate with us in this base-wide event! The Open House is free and open to the public, providing an invaluable opportunity for residents of Natick and surrounding areas to gain a deeper understanding of the essential roles played by those stationed at NSSC.
