Beagle said Woodward and his wife, Judy Woodward, will both be missed and that they both gave of themselves freely and easily to the larger team and the community.

Woodward thanked Beagle for his leadership and support of CAC-T.
“LTG Beagle gave us the freedom to operate and do what we needed to do in CAC-T,” Woodward said.
Woodward also thanked the CAC-T team and said they are world class professionals, who take their jobs seriously and make the army better every day.
“From individual soldier training to collective training for our divisions and our corps – that is truly a huge responsibility,” Woodward said.
He said that when he first found out he was coming to CAC-T and found out everything that CAC-T encompasses, he wondered how he was going to accomplish the job. Then, he found out that the job was very fulfilling.
“Because what you’re doing every day is for the Army and for our Soldiers,” Woodward said.
He said that the next war or conflict is not going to be won by tanks, aircraft, missiles, drones, machines, robots or AI - it’s going to be won by people.
“We have to make sure that our people have the best training that we can afford to give them within the resources that we have,” Woodward said. “So that when they go out there, they are well trained and well led."
Woodward also welcomed Wilson to CAC-T, saying that if he had been asked to pick one person in the Army to replace him as the CAC-T DCG, he would have said without hesitation, that Wilson is the best person for the job.
“He loves the Army, he loves Soldiers, he knows training better than anybody I know, and he will do awesome in this job,” Woodward said. “I can’t wait to see what you do here in CAC-T over the next couple of years.”
“When one stellar leader and family departs, another one is close behind,” Beagle said. “As we welcome Jeremy and Marti (Wilson) to this team.”
Beagle said that Wilson’s reputation arrived at Fort Leavenworth before he did.

Beagle said Wilson is a driver of change and a true professional.
“Your proven background as a warfighter, as a trainer, and leader make you perfectly suited to take the helm over CAC-T,” Beagle said. “We look forward to watching you take this team to the next level.”
