WASHINGTON — The Inaugural Army Data Summit, an elite gathering of our organization’s most respected leaders, experts and industry professionals, will convene this May to delve into the evolving landscape of data management, analytics, and decision-making within the Army domain. Its mission is clear. To establish clear goals and objectives through three main perspectives:

  • HQDA Strategic Objectives and Community Feedback
  • Command-Chief Data Analytics Officer Task Organization and Best Practices
  • Army Data Workforce Coding and Targeted Data Literacy

Hosted by the Army Chief Information Officer (CIO) – Army Chief Data and Analytics Officer (CDAO) | U.S. Army Forces Command (FORSCOM), the summit will prioritize the ongoing and near-term objectives of ensuring Command-Chief Data Analytics Officers' success within their respective areas while providing an overview of the Army’s data platforms and the Army's data catalog. It will also gather feedback for improvement and planning for the next event to ensure that the Army data management and analytics communities’ goals are met.

This event is critical for the Army's future success as it builds upon two pivotal lessons: the Army Data Plan Campaign of Learning, which facilitates continuous learning and improvement in data management, analytics and related areas; and the CIO's Digital Transformation Plan, which outlines strategies and initiatives for leveraging digital technologies to improve organizational performance, enhance user experiences and drive innovation.

“By bringing together the enterprise-wide data management and analytics community, this event aims to set strategic, operational, and tactical level goals and objectives for the Army's next iteration efforts in charting a path for its Army Data Management and Analytics Implementation Plan,” said CIO Leonel Garciga.

The Inaugural Army Data Summit 2024 will explore three critical themes:

  • “Empowering Your Data Management and Analytics Journey”
  • “Unlocking the Power of Information Advantage through Decision Driven Data Operations”
  • “The Army Data Management and Analytics Strategy I-Plan”

The event will help the Army data management and analytics community achieve its objectives for the next 18-24 months as an increment towards the Army of 2030's deliberate, budget-informed, multiyear plan that prioritizes people and balances maintaining warfighting readiness with the need to adapt equipment, organization and training to meet an evolving threat by major competitors.

The Army Chief Information Officer (CIO) – Army Chief Data and Analytics Officer (CDAO) | U.S. Army Forces Command (FORSCOM), is committed to harnessing the power of data to enhance readiness, efficiency, and effectiveness in defending national security interests. As data continues to redefine the modern battlefield, forums like the Inaugural Army Data Summit 2024 will play a vital role in shaping the future of military data management, analysis, and decision-making.
