– It’s that time of year again when competitors from cross the command, visit Redstone Arsenal to compete in the Army Contracting Command Best Warrior Competition. The event will run from May 7 thru May 10. The winner of the ACC Best Warrior Competition will go on to represent the command at the Army Material Command Best Warrior Competition later this summer.

This year’s competitors are Staff Sgt. Robert Mayer from the 408th CSB, Staff Sgt. Zachary Payne from the 409th CSB, Staff Sgt. Aaron Thompson from the 410th CSB, Staff Sgt. Junyu Tao from the 411th CSB, Staff Sgt. Adam Torres from the 413th CSB, Sgt.1st Class Jasmine Petty from the 414th CSB, Staff Sgt. Jaime Davila from the 418th CSB and Staff Sgt. Cory Palletti from the 419th CSB.

The best warrior competition will consist of multiple events in which Soldiers are evaluated, including the Army Combat Fitness Test, 8-mile road march, weapons qualification, warrior task and battle drills, and land navigation. Additionally, competitors will go before a formal board of ACC senior NCOs and complete a written test and essay.
