FORT KNOX, Ky. — To wrap up Child Abuse Prevention Month activities, the Garrison Command Team spent time reading to children at the post’s Child Development Center and the School Age Center on April 24, 2024.
Prior to entering classrooms, Garrison Commander Col. Christopher Ricci signed a community proclamation recognizing April as Child Abuse Prevention and Awareness Month. The proclamation encourages community members to observe this month in coming years to improve quality of life for military children and their Families.
In addition, the command team handed out a total of 680 copies of the children’s book “Only One You” to all the classrooms they visited. Each book contained flyers for the New Parent Support Program and the Exceptional Family Member Program.
