FORT KNOX, Ky. -- Soldiers, civilian employees and their families at Fort Knox can now access the full spectrum of services offered by the Kentucky Career Center thanks to a new access point provided by Lincoln Trail.

Lincoln Trail provides Kentucky residents links to potential jobs in the state with its wide array of services. Beth Roberts, the director of workforce at Lincoln Trail, stopped by Fort Knox on Thursday to present a certificate for the achievement.

“This represents Fort Knox working with the community Kentucky Career Center that brings back some services we lost during the COVID pandemic,” said Andrew Cooper, Fort Knox Transition Services manager. “We’ll be able to take care of our veterans and military service members as well as spouses and military dependents of working age who come here.”

Previously, Soldiers, civilians and families would have to travel to Elizabethtown to access the full range of services.

According to an April 12 Elizabethtown News-Enterprise article, “Kentucky Career Center access points are mobile or permanent locations with a designated point of contact. ... An access point must, at a minimum, have a qualified individual cross-educated in all six Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act core programs and refer job seekers and employers to partner staff at comprehensive and/or affiliate Kentucky Career Centers.”
