Lt. Gen. Maria Barrett, commander of U.S. Army Cyber Command (ARCYBER), visited research facilities in Cambridge, Mass., then stopped by her former Reserve Officers' Training Corps battalion, where she was inducted into the battalion hall of fame, March 27, 2024.
Barrett's itinerary began with visits to the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) Institute of Soldier Nanotechnology and its affiliated Draper Laboratory for discussions on the facilities' network operations research and capabilities and opportunities for future collaboration and partnership with ARCYBER.
Barrett, a 1988 graduate of Tufts University, then visited her former Reserve Officers' Training Corps (ROTC) battalion -- MIT's Paul Revere Battalion -- where she was inducted into the battalion hall of fame. The induction ceremony honored Barrett for her achievements and support to the military community during her 36-year Army career.
Barrett spoke with ceremony attendees about her career and her views on successful Army leadership, answered cadets' questions, and presented ARCYBER coins to five cadets.
