Construction impact for city tram and buses network

On Saturday (23 March) work will begin on the renovation of roofing on tram and bus platforms at the Junikowo station. Changes in public transport will be introduced during the work. Trams lines 1, 13 and 15 and buses No. 122, 177, 716, 727 and 803 will be directed to the Budziszyńska loop. Changes will also occur on bus lines 214, 224 and 257. In order to provide rail communication between the Budziszyńska and Junikowo loops - a swinging tram line No. 91 will be launched, with a frequency of running every 12/15 minutes along Grunwaldzka Street. The start of work in the current period will guarantee the restoration of the full functionality of the station in Junikowo, before the increased traffic during the All Saints period (beginning of November).

From Tuesday, March 26, the surface of Promienista Street will be carried out (stages) on the section from the bus loop Osiedle Kopernika to Rembertowska street. The works will make it necessary to introduce changes to the journey of several bus lines from this region of Poznań. Planned completion of the works by the middle of April.

Steam train parade will take place May 4th in Wolsztyn (50 km from Poznan)

 XXVIII Parade of Steam Trains, will take place in the picturesque city of Wolsztyn on May 4, 2024. The parade launch at 13:45. Show "Light - Couple - Sound" will take place at 21:00.

This in only place in Europe which is still in use for handling for steam trains and operate every day.

For admission to the area of the steam locomotive, you will have to pay - 50 zlotys will cost a normal ticket, and 30 PLN reduced. In addition, the spectacle "Light - Couple - Sound" will be paid. The entrance will cost 30 and 20 zlotys, respectively. Children up to 7 years old do not have to have a ticket.

During our XXVIII Parade of Steam Trains, you will have the opportunity to admire historic steam locomotives from Poland and abroad. Numerous cultural and technical attractions will take place, local delicacies will be tasted. Beginning of April – events at Poznan Convention Center

At the beginning of April in Poznan will take two big conventions at Poznan Convention Center. First one is Poznan Motor Show where you can find a lot cars, motorbikes and a lot of news from automotive world. This event will take place at 04-07 April 2024. You can buy tickets at the Gate.  Second one is Poznan Run Expo which will take place 12-14 April 2024 dedicated to running freaks. Also at 14th April there will be a city run for half-marathon length through Poznan.

Regional governmental elections in Poland

At 7th April in Poland will be an election day. These day Poles will choose their city majors, city council squad, regional council squad. They will choose dedicated person which they want to give a chance to be a part of regional government. What is more if candidates for city majors will not achieve at least 50% of support, there will be II round which will take place at 21st April. In that day Poles will choose only between 2 highest rank candidates for being a city major.

That will be not only elections this year in Poland. Poles will choose their representatives to EU Parliament in June.
