EGLIN AIR FORCE BASE, Fla. — 7th Special Forces Group (Airborne), Capt. Paola Mbula serves as the officer in charge of the Group Support Battalion S-1 section. Beyond her operational responsibilities, Mbula spearheads a transformative initiative known as the Unity Rise Women’s Mentorship Program.
“I have always aimed to contribute to something bigger than myself, and upon joining the Group Support Battalion, 7th Special Forces Group (Airborne), I recognized the significant need for this program. This realization inspired me to establish a program aimed at supporting women in both their professional and personal development” said Mbula.
The program seeks to create an environment where Soldiers actively contribute to the professional development and overall well-being of women in the military. Its mission extends beyond mentorship sessions — it is a commitment to fostering relationships, enhancing unit cohesion and cultivating the distinctive camaraderie that characterizes the 7th Special Forces Group (Airborne).
“This program is significant to me and its members because it provides a platform for support, empowerment and growth tailored to the unique challenges and opportunities faced by women” says Mbula. “Additionally, it fosters a community where women can inspire, learn from each other and collectively strive for success.”
The essence of Unity Rise lies in its dedication to empowerment. By offering guidance, support and encouragement, the program aims to equip women with the tools needed to reach their aspirations and unlock their full potential.
