Team –

Last week during my travel to the INDOPACOM region, it was great to see so many CECOM teammates and witness first-hand the hard work it takes to ensure our Warfighters and partners are well-equipped and ready.

CECOM will be joining AMC at the Baltimore Convention Center for the 2024 BEYA STEM Conference this Friday and Saturday. For those who might not know, BEYA is an annual STEM-focused conference that recognizes excellence and provides opportunities for networking and mentorship. Part of the conference is the BEYA Career Fair. AMC is hiring almost 400 positions in a variety of career fields including finance, human resources, information technology, logistics, and engineering. Please direct those who are interested in becoming a part of the AMC team to our Yello link to pre-register with the AMC booth ahead of the event LINK. Please note that you do not have to attend in-person, as there will be a virtual component for this year’s career fair. The military is one of the largest STEM employers in the country, and this conference is another great opportunity for us to reach the next generation and enhance our future force.

Our SEC team continues to provide critical support to manage the contractual software development of the Army’s official new My Army Post App, formerly the Digital Garrison app. The new app helps users receive and share timely information about their respective Army post. Users can get important localized installation information, including gate traffic and closures, USO information, and hours of operation for gyms, warrior restaurants, hospitals, and PX/commissaries. As the Army’s premier software team, SEC answered the call from the U.S. Army Installation Management Command to support and oversee My Army Post development. The effort, which began last fall, will modernize the Digital Garrison app and will improve quality of life throughout the Army. The My Army Post App is currently under contract award selection, and our SEC team is working hard alongside partners to deliver the My Army Post App and will continue to lead efforts across required areas of support moving forward. Way to go SEC!

In observance of Presidents Day, CECOM will operate at reduced manning levels this Friday, 16 FEB. Consistent with mission requirements, I encourage our Army Civilians to take annual leave, with supervisor approval, and our military personnel to use passes or leave. For those military and Army Civilians who will be working Friday, I authorize supervisors to grant a 59-minute early release. As is standard for early release announcements, contractor employees must adhere to the terms of their contract regarding early release and cannot charge the Federal Government for any time while released.

To all our teammates worldwide, thank you all for your continued support and commitment to our Soldiers and our Nation.

This We’ll Defend!
