CAMP DARBY, Italy – IMCOM-Europe Director Tommy Mize paid a visit to Camp Darby on Monday, Feb. 5, to meet with employees and see facility improvements. Mize also met with garrison leadership and toured several sites, including the location’s transportation assets.
"Camp Darby is a strategic location that has seen significant infrastructure and logistical improvements in recent years, to include the railhead, dock facilities and the swing bridge,” said Deputy Garrison Manager Timothy Andersen. “It is a great asset and resource to support multiple mission objectives. We're happy that IMCOM-Europe Director Mize had this opportunity to visit so he could see these improvements and the increased potential of this installation firsthand."
During his visit, Mize also recognized several garrison employees for their exceptional contributions and service, including members of the military police, religious affairs, library, and medical liaisons, among others.
