PŌHAKULOA TRAINING AREA, HILO, Hawaii — the following is a schedule of upcoming military vehicle convoys from Pohakuloa Training Area to Kawaihae Harbor. Be advised of times and locations in order to plan your local travel.
- 14 February 8 a.m. & 10 a.m. Pohakuloa Training Area to Kawaihae
- 15 February 8 a.m. & 9 a.m. Pohakuloa Training Area to Kawaihae
- 18 February 8 a.m. Pohakuloa Training Area to Kawaihae
Convoy leaders will continually assess conditions and conduct pull-over procedures on permissible straight-aways sections of the roadway to allow local residents the ability to bypass the convoy safely and reduce backed-up traffic.
The military appreciates the understanding and continued support of the Hawaii Island community. This training is critical to ensure military units and service members are ready to accomplish their mission and return home safely.
