FORT KNOX, Ky. — A Fort Knox Middle High School senior on Feb. 12 signed a letter of intent to play lacrosse for the Norwich University Cadets in Northfield, Vermont.
Fort Knox does not have a lacrosse team, so Mirkovich plays for a Hardin County Schools amalgamated team. He signed the letter at the high school in front of parents Jenny and Justin Mirkovich as well as other family members and academia.
Mirkovich will attend Norwich University during the 2024-25 school year to pursue a Bachelor of Arts in studies in War and Peace. He said he has plans to join the U.S. Army after graduation.
