Maj. Gen. Michael McCurry, U.S. Army Aviation Center of Excellence and Fort Novosel commander, announced the 2023 Lt. Gen. Ellis D. Parker Awards winners during the Army Aviation Senior Leader Forum awards dinner held Jan. 24, 2024, at Fort Novosel, Ala.

The Lt. Gen. Ellis D. Parker Award annually recognizes the top Army Aviation battalions (or equivalent) in four categories based on unit mission, and is named for Lt. Gen. "Don" Parker, an Army Aviation pioneer.

Combat Support Category and overall winner: 2d Battalion, 158th Aviation Regiment, 16th Aviation Brigade, Joint Base Lewis-McChord, Washington
