Software Engineering Center (SEC) senior leaders met at Mallette Training Facility in Aberdeen Proving Ground for the Certificate in Data Driven Leadership Program hosted by Carnegie Mellon University’s Heinz College of Information Systems and Public Policy. The initiative prioritizes key areas such as data engineering, data science, decision making, emerging technology, data privacy and security and aimed to enhance program leaders’ analytical decision-making in support of the Army’s mission.

The 9-module certificate program aims to establish a robust knowledge base for Army leaders via training in enterprise data management best practices and expert insight into AI. The four-day program comprised a unique blend of executive education courses as well as knowledge gained from Army AI initiatives.

The effort is part of SEC’s mission to continue growing a new generation of expert data leaders that can utilize organizational data to enhance decision-making in support of the Army mission.
